We are delighted to confirm a vacancy within our Pensions Technical and Training Team, KR11 'Pensions Technical Compliance and Training Consultant', working for Kent Pension Fund at Kent County Council. While the role is advertised as permanent, full-time (37 hours a week), we also welcome applications from part-time applicants. Part-time applicants, please state the number of hours you would be willing to work per week. This vacancy has arisen due to the promotion of a colleague within our team.
The primary office location for this role is Maidstone, Kent, and the successful candidate will undertake hybrid working (both home and office working, according to business needs). The post holder will join our large and successful Pensions & Treasury Service, within our Pensions Section. You will work alongside our existing Pensions Technical Compliance and Training Consultants whereby collaborative working at Invicta House (Maidstone) will be required from time to time (roughly twice a month or slightly more due to training and planning meetings).
You will have extensive knowledge of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) regulations and the regulatory framework. This role involves interpreting complex pension legislation and policy to support Kent Pension Fund. You will have knowledge of a pensions administration software system such as Altair or similar. This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
