Job Description:We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Freelance Planner to join our client for a water treatment project based in Birmingham. This is a contract role for 12-18 months, with an immediate start. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the project is delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential delays or issues, proposing solutions to keep the project on track.
- Prepare regular progress reports and updates for the project team and clients.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Utilise project management software and tools to track and report on project status.
- Primarily a site-based role, requiring regular presence at the project location.
- Proven experience as a Planner in MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation) or Civils projects.
- Previous experience in water treatment projects is beneficial but not essential.
- Strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
