Job Description
A client within the Private Sector based in Cheshire / Greater Manchester is currently recruiting for a Planning Consultant to join their Team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, permanent position with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a town planning environment.
The Role
Key purpose of the role is to support senior staff and directors on major project work, manage small to medium-sized planning applications, and provide direct client advice on sites and projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting senior staff and directors to drive forward major projects.
- Managing small to medium-sized planning applications.
- Undertaking research and analysis.
- Preparing planning appraisals of land, buildings, and concepts.
- Drafting reports and planning submissions, including site assessments, policy notes, applications, development plan representations, and Environmental Statements.
- Liaising with planning officers, employees of consultee organisations, and third parties.
The Candidate
To be considered for this role, you will require:
- A relevant degree qualification in planning or a related field.
- 5-10 years of experience working in the private or public sector.
Beneficial Skills
- Strong understanding of the principles of planning.
- Adept at presentations and technical writing.
- A problem-solver.
Salary
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such is offering up to £45,000 per annum.
