Kubernetes, seems that everyone LOVES them, but does everyone need them?
Join a company that prioritises making the best technical decision, rather than just jumping on the latest tech trends. Actually analysing what's needed to deliver to a strategic set of goals not just K8s K8s K8s K8s.
This is not to say you won't use kubernetes, more that when you are using them it's because they are the best tool for what is required. Other times you might use serverless, with lambda functions or perhaps ECS. Essentially, you will gain exposure to a variety of DevOps tooling, broadening your horizon and making you into a well rounded engineer.
You'll join as a platform engineer, working on large scale cloud based projects, operating at scale bringing a whole new level of complexity. Core focus would be on AWS, Terraform and containers, with a background in Linux beneficial too. As mentioned above, other tools vary so your exposure will be diversified.
Remote first work, with offices across the country. On average engineers get together two to three times a month to promote collaboration. You'll have access to an unlimited training budget, with the ability to get industry leading certifications: Hashicorp Terraform, CKA, AWS solutions architect etc.
