We are seeking a Programme Project Manager to lead the Project Management Office (PMO) for a large-scale data centre refresh and network infrastructure upgrade. This is a high-impact role within one of Europe's most significant defence infrastructure programmes, requiring a strong engineering background and experience in managing complex, mission-critical projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the PMO function, establishing best practices and ensuring adherence to internal governance frameworks.
  • Oversee programme-level processes, resource allocation, and governance, ensuring projects remain on track and within budget.
  • Monitor and track project progress, ensuring alignment across multiple workstreams and escalating risks where necessary.
  • Request and review reports and project documentation from workstream leads and project managers.
  • Manage stakeholder communication and reporting at both programme and project levels, ensuring transparency and engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Align projects with overall business objectives, identifying opportunities for additional business development and strategic alignment.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Strong background in engineering, infrastructure, data centres, or cloud environments.
  • Proven experience in leading a PMO within large-scale infrastructure or defence-related programmes.
  • Expertise in programme governance, resource management, and risk mitigation.
  • Ability to manage cross-functional teams and workstream leads in a complex technical environment.
  • Experience working in secure, highly regulated environments (defence, nuclear, or government experience is desirable but not essential).
  • Ex-military candidates with relevant project management experience are highly desirable.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive business development opportunities where applicable.

This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-profile, mission-critical defence infrastructure programme, ensuring successful delivery and long-term impact.
