Position Overview:

Market Access is a key function in the adoption and commercialization of Insulet products and has an essential role in ensuring that people living with diabetes can access highly innovative products for the management of their condition. The Policy and Public Affairs Specialist role sits within the International Value and Access Group, reporting into the Policy and Public Affairs Senior Manager.

The role will interface with many different departments to incorporate effective policy and public affairs strategies and tactics at both regional and local country levels to drive sustainable access to Omnipod technology. The role will also be responsible for delivering assessments and reports of policy activity and supporting the market access teams to deliver high-quality public affairs campaigns across the business. This position will be dedicated to Insulet's international business.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for monitoring potential threats and opportunities coming from the policy environment across multiple countries.
  • Responsible for providing regular updates to key internal stakeholders on new and emerging policy development relevant to the Insulet business.
  • Ownership of internal reporting dashboards and databases to capture policy activity across Insulet's international business, with responsibility to maintain these and share insights with market access teams and cross-functional business partners.
  • Support the execution of policy-related activity by Insulet via international campaigns, coalitions, letter writing, public comment, and direct outreach to policymakers.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Good understanding of healthcare systems and health policy development.
  • Highly skilled in policy analysis.
  • Experience in communications planning and execution via multiple channels.
  • Proficiency in appraising and synthesizing large volumes of information, including clinical and economic information.
  • Ability to make and maintain relationships with key stakeholders externally.
  • Ability to prioritize and drive for results with an emphasis on quality.
  • Strong computer proficiency and experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Fluent in English.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (political science, law, economics, biomedical science, etc.)
  • Demonstrated professional experience in public affairs, government affairs, policy, or market access positions.
  • EU or Global experience is preferred.

Additional Information

  • The position can be remote, hybrid, or in-person at our offices in Hammersmith, London.
  • Flexible location: UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium.
  • Travel is estimated at 25% but will flex depending on business need.
