Portfolio Manager PYXiS

Based remotely in the UK or the USA, the Portfolio Manager will have responsibility for the financial performance and strategic development for a group of VMS businesses in PYXiS that are primarily focused on servicing customers operating in the regional and global fitness industry. Each business is managed independently, with its own unique set of opportunities and challenges. The Portfolio Manager will need sufficient skill and breadth of experience to identify these and guide each business leader and their team to focus on the strategic and tactical changes needed to maximize long term returns.

Reporting directly to the PYXiS CEO, this is a global role requiring the Portfolio Manager to work on an agreed blend of UK and US Eastern time. Regular travel for in person meetings will be required with the role requiring at least 10 weeks spent working from each of the UK and USA every year.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Ensure each Business Unit achieves or exceeds the delivery of annual goals including NR, EBITA and attrition targets, customer and staff satisfaction levels and other initiatives or directives as agreed with the Portfolio CEO.
• Oversee the development and growth of all Business Units to ensure production efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources.
• Support each Business Unit leader to plan, develop, and implement strategies for generating revenues and profits for the company.
• Review activity reports and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives and advise Business Unit leaders how best to revise objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions.
• Evaluate performance of Business Unit leaders in achieving company and individual targets and objectives and take appropriate steps to correct shortfalls in performance as required.
• Identify, evaluate and nurture future leaders with the aim of creating strong succession within each of the business units.
• Promote the company at all times and seek opportunities to engage at conferences, industry events and at internal events.
• Ensure that each Business Unit supports and implements group operational procedures, policies, and standards.
• Assist in the development of acquisitions, corporate strategies & objectives to ensure attainment of corporate objectives.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, sales, marketing or an industry relevant discipline
• Minimum of 3 years of managerial experience in a vertical market software business
• Minimum 7 years of senior executive or management experience
• Deep vertical market knowledge in relevant industry is a distinct advantage
• Proven strategic thinker with the ability to drive through to results
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial data
• Ability to develop and deliver presentations; superior professional written and verbal communication.
• Strong interpersonal skills and EQ with a high degree of integrity that engenders trust
• A proven leader with experience of building exceptional teams
• A willingness to work a flexible schedule and undertake regular travel across the UK, North America and Australia

Other requirements:

• Working Remote from the UK with regular travel for in person meetings in North America for at least 10 weeks a year.
• Working Hours, an appropriate blend of UK and US Eastern Time hours as agreed from time to time with the PYXiS CEO to ensure the necessary support for the business in all regions.
