Due to continued growth and upcoming expansion within the M&E sector for our client business, they are seeking an enthusiastic, hands-on, and proactive engineer to join our team.
The role will initially be workshop-based, focusing on servicing, calibrating, and repairing our fleet of press tooling equipment while building product knowledge.
Following comprehensive training and ongoing support, the successful candidate will take a lead role as the champion for our press-fit and technical M&E products, providing key support to both warehouse operations and customer-facing teams. They are looking for someone to take ownership and help them develop this new growing and exciting part of the business.
Press Fit Lead Engineer Job Overview- Ensure equipment is clean and well-presented at all times
- Inspect and test returned hire equipment (full training provided)
- Calibrate tools and equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability (training provided)
- Carry out PAT testing in line with safety standards (training provided)
- Perform repairs on press-fit tools (training provided)
- Collaborate with the team to develop and enhance systems and procedures
- Use computer-based systems for administrative tasks and record-keeping
- Proactively research and gain in-depth product knowledge, becoming the go-to expert for related products
- Provide support across warehouse, workshop, and delivery operations as needed
- Take the lead in establishing a dedicated "Press Station" and help deliver repair and calibration services to our customers
- Coordinate the return of customer equipment and assist with customer inquiries alongside the sales team
- Ideally, the candidate will have experience with M&E and press-fit equipment; however, full training will be provided for the right individual.
- Background in maintaining and/or repairing a variety of equipment and tools.
- Mechanical and/or electrical experience is preferred.
- Experience in testing and calibrating both in-house and customer equipment would be an advantage.
- A practical mindset with the ability to work efficiently, methodically, and hands-on.
- General business awareness or experience is desirable.
- Supervisory experience is beneficial, though not essential. The ability to lead by example, hold team members accountable, and foster a positive working environment is key.

- £35,000-£40,000 salary dependant on experience
- 40 hour working week (Flexible on working hours)
