About The Green Partnership
The Green Partnership is a small but successful, mission-led landscape consultancy with a friendly and welcoming culture. With a growing national customer base, we're dedicated to creating environments that benefit both people and nature. We work with likeminded clients across a wide range of projects, always taking a whole-lifecycle approach to the creation and long-term stewardship of landscapes.
Our work is wonderfully varied - one day we might be shaping a nature strategy for a leading housing provider, the next we could be advising on a community green space or running a nature-awareness event in an urban neighbourhood. We love what we do, and we're proud of the positive impact our work has.
As we grow our senior management team, we're excited to build on our success and take our work to the next level.
The Role
Are you passionate about creating landscapes that support both people and nature? Would you like to join a business that sees projects through from concept to long-term impact? Do you dream of having ownership in a values-driven company and helping to build something truly great?
If so, this exciting new senior role could be for you.
We're looking for a versatile and experienced professional with a strong foundation in landscape design, but who's equally comfortable developing strategies, managing projects, leading teams, nurturing client relationships, and building partnerships.
You'll need to be open to stepping beyond typical design work - our projects often involve report writing, creating guidance, running workshops, and delivering training. Creativity, strategic thinking, and adaptability are key.
We're also looking for someone with entrepreneurial flair - someone excited by the opportunity to help shape and grow a business they co-own.
As a values-led organisation, we offer meaningful share ownership, generous benefits, and are open to part-time and flexible working for the right person.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and coordinate high-quality design-led assessments, strategies, technical reports, technical drawings, and management plans.
- Develop bespoke guidance for the evaluation, design, implementation and monitoring of enhanced landscapes and habitats, in built and rural environments.
- Coordinate workshops and working groups to gain insights and deliver training.
- Manage and coordinate a team of partnering consultants.
- Over time, develop and manage a team of colleagues.
- Identify opportunities to support existing customers and onboard new exciting partnerships.
- Represent the organisation and the sector, collaborating to reinforce and develop best practice standards and tools.
Ideal Attributes
- Minimum of 3 years in a consultancy capacity aligned with landscapes and/or green infrastructure.
- Strong experience in technical design of landscapes and green infrastructure, preferably in large-scale residential and/or public realm environments (both new development and regeneration).
- Experience in developing and communicating strategies, guides and action plans.
- Good working knowledge of related planning requirements, Biodiversity Net Gain and nature-based solutions.
- Good working knowledge of CAD and/or equivalent landscape design systems.
- Experience in leading and developing a successful team.
- A drive to safeguard and further develop good working practices.
- Experience conducting post-construction audits or working in the capacity of a Landscape Clerk of Works is desirable, but not essential.
Benefits
- Competitive salary (£50-60k per annum).
- Company ownership through shares.
- 28 days holiday, plus bank holidays.
- Car allowance or company car scheme (EV).
- Supported continuous professional development.
- Flexi-working to enable a healthy work-life balance.
- Part-time opportunities for the right candidate.
