Job Description

You will join an expert and motivated team responsible for crafting the next generation of Automotive and Industrial Architectures using cutting edge technologies, like AI, Chiplets, Quantum, etc. The role requires driving the HW and SW Architectures Safety Concept and Model-Based Safety Analyses (MBSA) for Automotive and Industrial applications involving AI components in a dependability context, considering the impact of system attributes like Safety, Cybersecurity, Reliability, Availability, and Real-Time. You will use industry-standard coordinated design and analysis tools to conduct a comprehensive set of inductive and deductive, qualitative, and quantitative safety analyses and technology investigations.

Responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for MBSA work products outcomes and contribution to planning and policies to develop Technical Safety Concept for the automotive and industrial HW, SW, System Architectures integrating AI Components by interacting across projects, sites, and groups.
  • Lead new emerging technologies investigations, i.e. reliability, cybersecurity, AI, predictive maintenance.
  • Lead exploration, continuous improvement, and standardization of methodologies with in-depth understanding of dependability system-level properties and extensive knowledge of system architecture and SoC development flows; evaluation of new tools and proposal of new creative practices to enable efficient application and adoption of safety processes.
  • Proactively identify and deliver improvements in how to get things done, i.e. release of high-quality documentation, reports and work products, according to industry standards, groundbreaking methodologies, tools, and templates.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Detailed in-depth understanding of Design and Verification of embedded electronics systems, HW and SW architectures, with vast experience in HDL languages, i.e. Verilog, VHDL and programming languages, i.e. Assembler, C, C++, Python.
  • Track record in delivery multiple functional safety-related development projects applying industry recognized automotive and industrial standards, e.g., ISO 26262, IEC 61508, ISO 13849, ISO 21434, from design to safety certification of System IPs and SoCs.
  • Extensive multi-projects applications of Safety Analysis methodologies using industry-standard tools, from functional system level to HW and SW component level: FTA, FMEDA, DFA, SW FMEA, STPA, SPFM/LFM, and PMHF.
  • Strong expertise in HW and SW Architecture Modelling. Model-Based System Engineering, ISO 15288, MagicGrid Framework, SysML 2.0.
  • Authority in creating and reviewing high-level quality documentation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to convey sophisticated technical information efficiently, to solve functional issues independently and leading peers and stakeholders towards the solution.
  • A Degree in Electronics or Computer Science with a proven experience in industry.

"Nice To Have":

  • Experience with Cybersecurity: TARA, Attack Trees, HSM architectures.
  • Exposure to Reliability technologies, methodologies, and standards applied to SoCs, i.e. RAS, Predictive Maintenance, BFR, HTOL, HAST, Burn-in, JEDEC specifications, etc.
  • Extensive experience in developing safety critical automotive and industrial solutions for L2+, L3 automation AD, ADAS, IVI, Digital Cockpit and Industry 4.0. Knowledge of SoC Architectures and Chiplet design technologies a plus!
  • Experience in the development of ML/AI applications using state-of-the-art toolchains, i.e. Pytorch, TensorFlow (Plus!).
  • Additional relevant Functional Safety and Cybersecurity Professional certifications.

In Return:

We offer a competitive reward package including healthcare and wellness support. In addition, there are other benefits such as a supplementary pension, and 25 days annual leave (with an option to buy an additional 5 days per year).

You will be working at the Arm HQ in Cambridge, and you will have plenty of opportunities in an evolving organization that is currently enabling the AI technological revolution in the mobile, infrastructure, industrial, and automotive domains.
