Job Description
Overview 
Expleo have an exciting opportunity for experienced Principal Structural Engineers - Marine.
Based Hybrid, but with fortnightly visits to the office, you will be assigned to a major new defence project.
Both outside IR35 and Permanent roles are available.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities within your role will include (but not limited to):
- Leading the UK based Team to understand technical issues / specifications and requirements.
- Producing solutions to engineering problems.
- Producing analysis for Marine Structures both with FEM and by hand calculation.
- Approval of Analysis and Reports and FEM.
- Preparation of reports.
- Preparation of FE Models in ANSYS.
- The successful candidate will be Degree qualified in a suitable STEM subject.
- Experience in Checking ANSYS models.
- Experience in Approving analysis and FEM.
- Microsoft Office Skills.
- Be a clear, logical thinker.
- Ability to articulate complex engineering issues in terms that are simple to understand.
- The successful candidate will have a minimum of 15 years experience.
- They will have worked in a Marine environment.
- They will have experience in PD5500 and similar codes.
- Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will need to be a UK National with minimum SC Clearance.
