Private Equity Analyst

H&P is working with an established PE fund looking to onboard an Analyst into its Brussels office's growing team. The fund invests across various sectors, with this office primarily focusing on the Benelux region while also collaborating with other European offices on cross-regional investments. The analyst will be responsible for conducting financial analysis, due diligence, and market research to support investment decisions and identify potential acquisition opportunities for private equity firms. This role offers junior investment professionals exposure to live deal participation and direct engagement with entrepreneurs.

Role Overview:

• Source and identify potential investment opportunities.
• Conduct thorough due diligence, including financial analysis, market research, and risk assessment, for prospective deals.
• Assist in executing investments, including negotiations, term sheet structuring, and deal-closing processes.
• Support portfolio companies post-investment with strategic advice, operational assistance, and growth initiatives.
• Prepare investment memos and present opportunities to senior leadership while providing regular updates on portfolio performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record.
• 1.5-3 years of experience in mid-market or large cap investment banking, private equity, M&A, or consulting.
• Self-motivated, with a strong entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work independently.
• Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Dutch (Belgium) fluent.
