Job Introduction

The Procurement team is repositioning itself to become a strategic enabler for BBC. Procurement Enablement will form a key part in this transformation, delivering enablers for Procurement and its stakeholders.

The Procurement Enablement Manager for special projects will play a key part in this, owning the delivery of enablers to procurement and stakeholders. Is the primary lead for multiple improvement and transformational projects, ensuring on time delivery of process changes. Is the primary expert and manager of procurement enablers. Is able to manage multiple projects, identify and mitigate project risks and present progress to the leadership team.

Working for the Process Owner for source to order, the role has the responsibility to deliver multiple procurement enablers, driving efficiencies, compliance, cost optimisation and stakeholder engagement. To identify areas to utilise new technologies to improve processes and drive standardisation.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans to ensure timely and successful delivery of procurement enablement projects.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand project requirements, manage expectations and ensure alignment with organisational goals.
  • Identify, assess and mitigate risks associated with enablement projects to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Lead and coordinate project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing working environment.
  • Monitor project performance, track progress against milestones and implement corrective action as needed.
  • Prepare and deliver regular project status reports, ensuring transparency and effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Ensure all projects comply with organisational policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
Are you the right candidate?
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, execute and close projects on time, within scope and budget.
  • Experience in Procurement and/or P2P operational management and process improvement.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, Waterfall or hybrid approaches.
  • Experience collaborating with stakeholders at all levels, including clients, team members and executive leadership.
  • Proven ability to identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and respond proactively to challenges.
  • Experience in managing team dynamics and resolving conflicts to maintain productivity and morale.
  • Ability to balance project deliverables with overall business priorities to achieve maximum impact.
  • Experience in implementing, managing or optimising Procurement systems and processes.
  • Experience in leading change management efforts to support the adoption of new systems, tools or processes.
  • Proven ability to drive strategic initiatives, such as sustainability programs or process simplification projects, through process and system improvements.
  • Proven ability to align special projects with broader organisational goals and present project progress to senior stakeholders and management.
