Job Description

Our client is a global outsourcing provider of integrated supply chain services associated with maintenance, repair and overhaul activities in large manufacturing facilities. They partner with leading multinational organisations, providing expert on-site solutions and fostering strong relationships with both clients and suppliers through effective communication and exceptional service.

Currently, they are looking for an experienced Procurement Specialist to join their team in Puurs, Belgium.

In this role, you will be reporting to the Site Lead and providing support in all aspects of the procurement, while operating in a fast-paced and compliant environment.


Job Profile for Procurement Specialist

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Liaise with Engineers and different team members
  • Manage MRP program
  • Review Min and Max levels and recommend amendments based on usage or criticality
  • Process, record and report on Savings and Cost avoidance
  • Process all Non-MRP (ad-hoc) requests
  • Source supplies and provide quotes
  • Obtain purchase orders from clients to support quotes
  • Create sales orders
  • Match client purchase orders to sales orders and despatch invoices
  • Order from suppliers and provide purchase order numbers
  • Monitor all open orders for clients and follow up on items delayed
  • Inform clients on delays or issues with daily, weekly and monthly reporting
  • Adhere to strict deadlines, providing timely and accurate information
  • Comply with Health and Safety policy and procedures
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as required


Candidate Profile for Procurement Specialist

  • Must be fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken
  • Strong procurement background with excellent administrative skills
  • Previous Pharma and GMP experience is an advantage
  • Basic understanding of engineering parts experience is required
  • Proficiency using ERP systems i.e., SAP, EAMs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Excel and PowerPoint is essential
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Ability to multitask, work to deadlines and under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and telephone manner
  • Flexible approach to all areas of the role
  • Strong problem-solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
