Job Description

We are seeking a Product Manager to play a key role in the expansion of the Researcher Experience offering of Our Future Health. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the vision, strategy and delivery of digital solutions that equip researcher customers with the tools they need to support our ambitious mission. Through close collaboration with engineers, designers, researchers, and wider stakeholders, your work will directly influence the number of researchers who join, stay, and thrive with us.

Our Future Health will be the UK's largest ever health research programme, bringing people together to develop new ways to detect, prevent and treat diseases. We are a charity, supported by the UK Government, in partnership with charities and industry. We work closely with the NHS and with public authorities across all nations and regions of the UK.

Our plan is to bring together 5 million volunteers from right across the UK who will be asked to contribute information to help build one of the most detailed pictures we have ever had of people's health. Researchers will be able to use this information to make new discoveries about human health and diseases. So future generations can live in good health for longer.

What you'll be doing

In this role, your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Developing a deep understanding of user needs, identifying opportunities and generating new ideas that improve researcher experience and drive growth.
  • Defining and owning the product vision and strategy with a remit for improving the researcher experience by working closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure that our resource meets researcher's needs.
  • Prioritising impactful solutions by developing and creating buy-in of the product roadmap. You'll balance strategic goals with technical feasibility, business impact, and user value.
  • Optimising the researcher journey, ensuring seamless user experience, focusing on funnel conversion through analysis of user journeys and the identification of pain points.
  • Leveraging data driven insights by defining and tracking key performance metrics. You'll run experiments and leverage user insights to guide data-driven decisions on product improvements.
  • Upholding public trust by supporting compliance with regulatory, security, and ethical guidelines in health research.
  • Engaging with a broad group of stakeholders, ensuring progress, insights, and decisions are clearly communicated to the wider organisation and that strong relationships are built to align on a common goal.
  • Championing product thinking, acting as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding of product ways of working.

You will have some of the following skills and experience:

  • Proven experience in product management, ideally within health or data space, and in leading cross-functional teams towards meaningful outcomes.
  • A demonstrable track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle.
  • Proven user centred approach with evidence of placing user needs at the heart of decision making and development.
  • Excellent understanding of user acquisition, onboarding, and funnel optimisation.
  • Good technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and experience with data-driven decision-making.
  • Comfort in ambiguity and fast paced environments, with the ability to adapt quickly to a changing landscape.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in agile ways of working, with cross functional teams in a matrix organisation.

Benefits:
