Job Title: Product Owner
Salary: £49,300-£65,950 per annum
Location: Cambridge and Hybrid working
Contract: Permanent, full time (35 hours per week)

The RoleWe are seeking an experienced and dynamic Product Owner to join us in the Assessment Operations - Strategic Governance Team, responsible for developing products and services. This role will focus on exploring new opportunities, defining product roadmaps, and influencing strategy for the future of digital exams and services. You will lead the way in driving the development of existing products in the Cambridge English Qualification portfolio and development of new products and services that meet customer needs while delivering financial returns.
You will collaborate closely with the CEQ Product Owner, Assessment Operations SLT, Proposition and Technology colleagues and a wide range of business stakeholders to ensure successful product delivery and alignment with commercial goals. This is an exciting opportunity to take the lead on innovative solutions that are shaping the future of English Assessment.
- Leading teams through discovery, viability and deployment to achieve maximum value for customers, users and key stakeholders.
- Ensuring that customer/user requirements are prioritised, and key dependencies understood, to focus development resources and feed insights back into product plans and strategy.
- Develop and communicate strategic direction for products and services, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic aims.
- Prepare business cases for new products, services, and product changes; garner cross-divisional support to ensure successful delivery.
- Working collaboratively with CEQ Product Owner and Product Manager to support development of enhancements to and new products that will drive our growth in future.
- Anticipating changing customer needs and future trends and adapting development plans accordingly.
You will be an experienced, collaborative and creative product professional. As someone driven by problem-solving, you excel in translating complex business needs into actionable technology requirements, adapting effectively to agile and waterfall environments.
You bring a passion for innovative solutions, data-driven insights, and user-centred design. As a skilled communicator, you present ideas clearly and can use varied methods to connect with and influence customers, users, and stakeholders at all levels. Proactive and analytical, you make sound recommendations on backlog prioritisation, resource allocation, and task feasibility. You possess an in-depth understanding of the commercial aspects of product development and delivery, including cost-benefit analysis, ROI, and market opportunity evaluation.
