Job Introduction
This is a wide-ranging role, providing both operational expertise and team leadership. The PDE role (Yard) will be responsible for monitoring and assessing competency in Yard Movement Coordinators, as well as leading a team of between five to ten engineering staff. The PDE (Yard) will manage a team, covering depot engineering activities, including delivery of units for maintenance, cleaning, and passenger service, and auditing of contract cleaning activities.
Key tasks will include the safe and efficient operational running of the depot, leading and motivating a team of staff to ensure that they work together safely and effectively to the required standards and specifications.
Can you demonstrate the following?
- Experience in an Operational/Engineering discipline
- Core Management and Leadership training
- Intermediate IT skills (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Competent in the Yard Movements Coordinator role - including competency in operating the control panel, DPRP, and hold a license to undertake isolations.
- Personal Track Safety
- Must be currently in a Shunter driver role or have passed the Shunter Driver assessment after September 2014
- Ability to interpret operational publications
