Production Engineer

Salary: £40-£50K per annum (dependent on experience & qualifications)

Hours: Monday - Thursday 08:30 - 17:00, Friday 08:30 - 15:30

Reporting to: Senior Production Engineer

An exciting opportunity has become available for a skilled and motivated individual to join our growing PCBA Engineering team as a Production Engineer. You will be primarily responsible for providing technical support to our production and engineering teams, whilst introducing New Product (NPI), Projects and Product via the adequate engineering processes. As well as, designing, testing and implementing new strategies, to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

• Support introduction of new products (NPI) into the business, utilising knowledge, and experience in PCBA manufacturing.
• Interpret a wide variety of customer provided data, determine build process, and provide supporting documentation for manufacturing.
• Supervising the manufacturing processes, ensuring quality work is done in a safe, efficient manner.
• Diagnose problems in production, offer technical solutions and provide recommendations and training.
• Collate data for departmental and business KPIs.
• Liaising with other internal departments and engineers to develop plans that improve production, reduce costs, increase efficiencies.

• Minimum of 5 years working in a PCBA manufacturing environment.
• Ideally A formal qualification in an engineering discipline (electronics).
• Demonstrate ability to technically support customers and production with manufacturing queries.
• Ability to provide customer feedback from any witnessed build issues, with a view to improving quality and efficiencies.
