Job Summary

This role is field-based, working across client sites in the UK. The role comes with a car or car allowance.

Following bespoke solution designs, the Deployment Services Consultant is responsible for the onsite deployment of a range of print and IT devices that includes items such as print and IT Hardware / Software solutions.

Reporting to the Deployment Services Manager, the Consultant will be required to support the setup and full implementation of the approved solution, assisting with the creation of key project documentation such as Site Implementation Guides (SIG) and ensuring technical scope and consistency is maintained throughout the project.

Key Duties:
  • Support project team to meet deployment targets
  • Implement projects under manager guidance
  • Communicate with customers on technical aspects
  • Review and manage project documentation
  • Conduct testing for smooth deployment
  • Identify and progress sales opportunities
  • Deploy Print Management software solutions
  • Handle ad-hoc tasks for existing installations
  • Address snagging issues
  • Create/modify documentation for installs
  • Attend customer sites as needed
  • Collaborate with other departments effectively
  • Assist customers remotely with software issues
  • Willingness to travel, including overnight stays
Experience and Skills Required
  • Confidence to tackle problems and help people solve technical issues.
  • Knowledge of managed print solution software (PaperCut, Equitrac, Safecom, Uniflow etc.)
  • Knowledge of print hardware (HP, Ricoh, Xerox, Kyocera, Konica Minolta etc.)
  • Managing installs and situations effectively, ensuring a swift resolution to any outstanding issues.
  • Effective documentation creation and modification.
  • Understanding of basic network terminology, e.g., network routing, IP addressing, basic DNS.
  • Broad experience of managed print services and hardware.
  • PC and MAC experience.
  • Basic Microsoft Office knowledge.
  • Full UK driving license
