Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Projects Finance Manager to join a well established international charity. This full-time, permanent role within the Finance team will focus on the financial management of various campaigns. The role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects and contribute to the financial planning, reporting, and compliance processes.

Key responsibilities of the role:
  1. Lead on budgeting, forecasting, and financial monitoring for projects and grants
  2. Assist with preparation of annual accounts, organisational audits, and management reports
  3. Oversee project budgets, cash flow forecasts, and variance analysis
  4. Manage donor compliance, ensuring that all statutory requirements are met
  5. Prepare monthly financial reports, tracking project income and expenditures
  6. Support financial audits and liaise with project partners, funders, and auditors
  7. Provide strategic financial insights to the Head of Finance and senior management
  8. Ensure financial systems and processes align with donor requirements and project needs
  9. Assist with preparing funding applications and donor reports
  10. Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely reconciliation of expenses
  11. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial support for campaigns and projects
Ideal candidate profile:
  1. Proficient in Excel, Outlook, and financial ERP systems such as Sage Intacct
  2. At least 3 years' post-qualification experience (ACCA or equivalent) with strong financial analysis and forecasting skills
  3. Proven ability to manage non-profit budgets, grants, and donor compliance
  4. Experience handling project finances across multiple partners and international teams
  5. Confident preparing financial records for audit and liaising with auditors
  6. Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure
Desirable:
  1. Knowledge of Charity SORP and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  2. Experience in managing risk and financial controls for project funds
  3. Awareness of changing financial regulations and donor requirements

Location: Central London

Salary: £43,000 - £48,000

Working hours: 40 hours per week

Working Pattern: Hybrid (at least 2 days in the office, more expected during probation and induction period)

Contract: Permanent, Full-time
