Job Description

In today's complex regulatory landscape, organizations across the financial sector must navigate evolving compliance requirements to ensure operational integrity. As a Regulatory Compliance Consultant, you will play a crucial role in helping businesses align with regulations such as GDPR, ISO, AI Act, DORA, AML, CFT, IDD, CSRD, and consumer protection laws. By providing expert guidance, conducting assessments, and implementing compliance solutions, you will enable organizations to maintain security, efficiency, and legal adherence.

With our Risk & Compliance practice , we have a fast-growing and challenging portfolio of assignments as external compliance experts within the financial sector. We help them understand how and where the upcoming regulations have impact within their organization and help with remediations of gaps within existing regulatory guidelines.


What will you do ?

Your affinity & practical expertise with regulatory risk & compliance enables you to lead our clients throughout their regulatory challenges

In this role, you will drive programs/projects that cover the following:

  • Lead regulatory compliance projects and conduct assessments at enterprise and business unit levels.
  • Design, review, and enhance compliance programs tailored to industry standards.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop effective solutions that balance regulatory requirements with business efficiency
  • Conduct compliance reviews, internal control evaluations, risk and compliance advisory, and independent assessments.
  • Engage in policy and procedure development, and contribute monitor and advise your clients and ensure that their entrepreneurship goes hand in hand with sound business operations that are compliant with laws and regulations and the supervisory practices of regulators NBB and FSMA.

  • Assist in establishing and implementing a high-performing compliance organization, including risk assessments, monitoring, advisory, and reporting functions.
  • Stay informed of regulatory changes and market developments to ensure proactive compliance strategies.
  • Foster strong client relationships and support the expansion of compliance service offerings.


Your Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience & Industry Knowledge: Min. 3 years of expertise in compliance or regulatory risk consulting, or as a compliance officer, within the financial industry, preferably in one of the relevant risk & compliance domains (AML/DORA/ESG/PSD2/etc.)
  • Legal & Regulatory Expertise: Strong ability to interpret and apply various legal frameworks, with familiarity across multiple regulations and a willingness to expand knowledge.
  • Certification: compliance expert certification by Febelfin academy (or ICA,etc.)
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and either Dutch or French for effective communication across diverse stakeholders
  • Passion for Compliance: A dedication to ensuring regulatory compliance and driving operational integrity and up-to-date knowledge of relevant financial supervisory legislation.
  • Teamwork & Independence: A collaborative mindset, coupled with the ability to work autonomously when needed, and a can-do attitude.
  • Proactive & Analytical Approach: A results-driven, efficiency-focused, and problem-solving mindset.
  • Communication & Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills to engage and communicate effectively across all organizational levels
  • Adaptability & Business Orientation: Flexibility to handle varied responsibilities while maintaining a customer-centric, driven, and enthusiastic approach.


Please note that relocation support to Belgium is not available, this role cannot accommodate fully remote work and we cannot support working visa procedures.
