Assignments

We are looking for a Project Manager Medior to lead the management and monitoring projects, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency in the nuclear energy sector.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Manage and monitor the scope, schedule, budget, performance, HSE (according to a 'zero accident philosophy'), nuclear safety aspects, quality, and profitability of the project.
• Drive the project to deliver optimal solutions.
• Collaborate actively with colleagues from Competence Centers and support departments (procurement, finance, risk management ), building strong relationships to achieve common goals.
• Set up a project organization in line with project needs.
• Define tasks and empower the project team after consulting experts.
• Coordinate actions at discipline interfaces and ensure proper integration of different specialties in the project.
• Organize meetings with clients and act as a trusted partner to deliver added value.
• Handle technical and commercial interactions with clients and partners, defining commercial actions where appropriate.
• Attend steering, project, and purchasing committees (internal and external) and prepare related documents to convince management and stakeholders.
• Manage procurement activities, including tendering, negotiation, contracting, and invoicing, ensuring client requirements are met.

The profile

You have a Master's degree in engineering, with at least 3 years of experience in project management and 5 years of professional experience in nuclear engineering. A technical background in safety studies or nuclear waste management is a plus.

You are fluent in English with excellent spoken, written, and reading skills. Fluency in Dutch or French is a must. You possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, are flexible, stress-resistant, rigorous, and assertive. You are decisive, even in complex situations, and comfortable with conflict resolution.

You are dynamic, open-minded, and team-oriented, with a strong ability to collaborate and build productive relationships. You are organized, detail-oriented, able to work under pressure, and committed to meeting deadlines. You are highly motivated, result-oriented, and focused on meeting client expectations.

You will be based in Brussels HQ, with frequent visits to the Belgian NPP sites (Doel and Tihange) and occasional travel outside Belgium. Habilitation to access nuclear sites is required.
