The primary task is to support the implementation of controls and process in a Python infrastructure to accelerate the automation related to controls,
reporting and analysis. This can extend to the design of risk reports and dashboards for all levels, Risk Management, the Banking Department, the Senior Management of the Bank, and the Board.
Additional responsibility will be to understand and improve related processes. This might require operating processes for building the required knowledge to design the risk solutions.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Operational transformation: Contribute to the transformation of the team's operations by leveraging new technologies to reduce low added value tasks and further improve efficiencies, in reporting, controls and analysis.
- Measuring and monitoring financial risks and financial leverage: Contribute to the development of infrastructure and business processes to effectively and efficiently measure and monitor market risks, liquidity risks and financial leverage.
- Pricing and valuation: Contribute to the design and implementation of pricing and valuation controls processes.
- Risk reporting: Contribute to the development of reports and dashboards on market risk, credit risk, liquidity risk and financial leverage as well as on valuation and performance across all levels (from Dealers to Management).
- Knowledge sharing and documentation: Ensure all processes are accurately documented and knowledge is shared across the team.
Must haves:
- University degree (Masters or equivalent) in a relevant field preferably with a quantitative focus (eg, econometrics, mathematics, physics, IT). (*)
- Three to five years of relevant work experience with a focus on risk management. (*)
- At least 3 years' experience with Python, ideally with hands-on experience automation projects to increase efficiencies. Strong Python skills and ability to creatively solve challenges. (*)
- Proficiency in SQL for querying and analysing data. (*)
- Deep business knowledge of financial markets, products and their representation across risk types. (*)

- Team-oriented with highly qualified, technically minded staff.
- Able to work on own initiative, willing to take responsibility.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, multicultural sensitivity, proven client orientation.
- Good communication skills up to senior management level.
Nice to have:
- Gather detailed business requirement to design the appropriate solution.
- Flair for numbers, ability to set numbers into context and interpret them.
- Able to critically scrutinize numbers, statements, and explanations, able to oversee complexity.
- Excellent written and spoken English. Another major international language an advantage.
