The Operational Resilience leader role is a new and pivotal position within our team. You will work directly with a Partner, Head of Risk Consulting, to help us grow our market share, revenues, and build a new team to meet emerging market demands.

Your Key Responsibilities
Client Responsibilities:
- Act as a subject matter expert in Operational Resilience, leveraging your knowledge and experience to address client problems and shape solutions.
- Identify and build valued trusted relationships with external clients and internal peers, understanding their needs and priorities to deliver Operational Resilience services.
- Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality work products by EY teams, enhancing our global brand, reputation, and purpose.
- Lead presentations and proposals focused on winning new work and providing subject matter insights for bids and proposals.
- Create innovative commercial insights for clients, adapting methods and practices to fit operational team and cultural needs, and contribute to thought leadership.
Internal Responsibilities:
- Assist in client account management activities, including recruitment of your team, managing financial aspects of client engagements, and quality and risk management.
- Identify and build valued relationships with clients and colleagues to generate new business opportunities for EY.
- Communicate effectively with EY senior management and work to build, manage, and motivate high-performing teams.
- Understand EY's service offerings and actively identify opportunities to better serve our clients.
- Support team development activities, including coaching, mentoring, conducting performance reviews, and contributing to performance feedback.
- Contribute to people initiatives, including recruiting, retaining, and training activities.
- Understand, follow, and communicate workplace policies and procedures.
Skills and Attributes for Success
To qualify for the role, you must have:
- 15 to 20+ years' experience in Operational Resilience (or related Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery domains) in consulting, industry, or the public sector.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of standards and regulatory landscape, including DORA (Digital Operational Resilience Act), Critical Entities Directive, ISO 22301 (Business Continuity Management), ISO 27001 (Information Security Management), and other relevant frameworks.
- Proven track record in delivering Operational Resilience/BCM projects.
- Experience in leading and growing high-performing teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with a track record in managing complex stakeholder programmes.
- Good understanding of project governance and change management principles.
Examples of Specific Technical Experience Requirements:
- Experience understanding and interpreting regulation and guidance in this area e.g. DORA, CER, NIS2.
- Identifying, assessing, and prioritising threats and risks to large organisations and developing risk mitigation strategies and plans.
- Conducting Business Impact Analysis (BIA) to identify critical services, functions and processes.
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining resilience/business continuity strategies and plans, disaster recovery plans, incident response plans, crisis management plans.
- Deep understanding of frameworks and standards such as ISO 22301:2019 and ISO 22316:2017.
- Establishing and maintaining a Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) in accordance with ISO 22301.
- Leading crisis response teams and coordinating with stakeholders during incidents.
- Experience helping organisations adapt to and recover from major emergencies and disruptions.
- Utilising project management methodologies such as PRINCE2, PMP, or MSP in the context of resilience programmes.
- Developing and conducting training and awareness programs on business continuity.
- Coordinating and conducting regular testing of operational resilience controls.
