Overview

Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process.

Responsibilities

1. Accurate and efficient assessments of patients.
2. Accurate documentation of the continuum of care.
3. Consistently demonstrates safe and accurate technical skills.
4. Competency in the performance of all procedures routinely performed in the office.
5. Proper technique in operating all office/medical equipment.
6. Accurate triaging of patients in compliance with provider instructions.
7. Competency in providing quality patient care.
8. Accurate following of provider directions.
9. Proper handling and labeling of specimens.
10. Ensures proper preparation of specimens for lab courier transfer.
11. Conscious of biohazard safety as it relates to the job.
12. Performs all nursing duties using appropriate PPE and in accordance with OSHA standards.
13. Performs all job duties within the scope of practice and the organization's policies/procedures.
14. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum of 1-year L.P.N./R.N. experience, preferably in a doctor's office.

Credentials

Essential:

• LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse
• BLS - Basic Life Saving certification

Nonessential:

• RN - Registered Nurse
