Job Description

Due to an upcoming retirement, we are looking to recruit a salaried GP to join our friendly team. Our Practice is located in the lovely seaside town of Carnoustie, which has a stunning beach and world-famous golf course. We are just down the coast from Monifieth and Broughty Ferry, so it really is a beautiful part of Scotland.
As a Practice, we are innovative, hardworking, and big on training and development. We currently support ST1, ST3, FY2, and 4th and 5th-year medical students. A number of our current GP team were trainees here.

- Daily huddle to discuss patients with DN input, which always includes coffee and sometimes cake
- High functioning practice nurse team dealing with chronic disease management, a management team with over 50 years of experience between them, as well as an admin team supporting the GPs with workflow and care navigation
- On-site MSK, mental health and wellbeing peer service, as well as mental health hub access and social prescriber. Our DN and HV team are on-site.
- CTCS spoke service on-site with established staff, as well as wound care clinics run by the DN team
- We employ a Practice Pharmacist in addition to the NHS allocation
- Established patient group who are supportive of the Practice
- eConsult system in place allowing GPs to control their workload
- Partners meet every 6-8 weeks to discuss Practice developments and ideas
- We follow the BMA approved salaried GP contract and offer a competitive salary; we also pay your medical defence union fees
- Protected CPD time allocated weekly
- We are a family-friendly Practice who understand the importance of a good work/life balance
- A golden hello may be available through NHS Tayside if criteria are met
- You must be educated to MBChB or equivalent and fully registered with the GMC
- Have a licence to practice and hold a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or equivalent
- Have no restrictions currently on your right to practice
- Be able to drive
- Be trustworthy and have high integrity
- Be committed to offering our patients a high level of clinical service as well as empathy and respect
- Be able to supply us with 2 good references from previous GP work
- A good sense of humour and be supportive to colleagues
