dunnhumby is the global leader in Customer Data Science, empowering businesses everywhere to compete and thrive in the modern data-driven economy. We always put the Customer First.

Our mission: to enable businesses to grow and reimagine themselves by becoming advocates and champions for their Customers. With deep heritage and expertise in retail - one of the world's most competitive markets, with a deluge of multi-dimensional data - dunnhumby today enables businesses all over the world, across industries, to be Customer First.

Working as a Insights Sales Associate, which is a key role in the Fresh Insights team, you will report into the Senior Commercial Lead - MFP & Produce.

This is a hands-on role, working with a broad range of clients in the produce category, across branded and own label, from billion-pound businesses to start-ups. You'll be expected to forensically understand their business, the categories they operate in and their relationship with Tesco. You'll use this information to build robust and value-add propositions to monetise our data and insight.

Working with your customer success colleagues, you'll network deep within your client's business, understanding and building relationships with stakeholders and budget holders across disciplines.

Detailed knowledge of our tools and the value they can add will be critical as you consultatively sell to clients that we have a strong existing business with & those new to Tesco & data insights.

You will also support the Senior Commercial Lead with forecasting, new business leads & proposal writing.

The ideal candidate will have either account management/category experience gained in a Tesco-facing role, a track record of success in the insight sales space or can demonstrate clear progression in a relevant sales role. Experience in the fresh category would be an advantage.

The successful applicant would be expected to demonstrate:

  • Experience of using data to influence or a track record of consistently hitting sales KPIs.
  • An understanding of the UK retail market and the current challenges/opportunities.
  • Resilient, with a positive mindset, driven to find a new path when the first is blocked.
  • A relationship builder - comfortable adapting style to varied internal and external contacts, influencing based on their needs.
  • Highly organised, displaying strong numeracy and a structured approach to account planning.
  • A strong communicator, verbally and digitally, creating simple & actionable solutions.

What you can expect from us:

We won't just meet your expectations. We'll defy them. So you'll enjoy the comprehensive rewards package you'd expect from a leading technology company. But also, a degree of personal flexibility you might not expect. Plus, thoughtful perks, like flexible working hours and your birthday off.

You'll also benefit from an investment in cutting-edge technology that reflects our global ambition. But with a nimble, small-business feel that gives you the freedom to play, experiment and learn.
