Job Description
Here at Russell WBHO, we have a solid pipeline of work into 2025/26 and have a portfolio of exciting projects including:
- Heritage Building - Grade A Office, Manchester City Centre: £20M
An opportunity has arisen to join our collaborative, professional Site Management Team.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a proven track record & will have experience of:
- Managing sites / sections ensuring adherence to all policies, procedures and standards
- Conversant with Drawings and Specifications also Target / Contract Programmes in support of delivery
- Supervise all sub-contract & direct labour, coordinating activities on site, in order that operations are performed efficiently
- Ensure health, safety, environmental and quality requirements are adhered to at all times in accordance with company procedures and legislation
- Implement and monitor all systems and procedures and ensure effective operation
- Establish and maintain site set up and welfare facilities
- Understand Client and company objectives and ensure good communication to the team
- Communicate on sub-contractor performance to all relevant parties
Key attributes will also include:
- Solid track record of the main contracting market with experience of working on Residential/Hotels/Industrial schemes between £5 and £50 million
- Effective communication skills - with the ability and willingness to face challenges and solve problems
- As an experienced Senior/Site Manager, you will have a good understanding of construction techniques and a HNC/HND (or equivalent) in construction, CIOB, First Aid, CSCS. Preferably CITB 5 day and Temporary works training
- Highly organised and methodical
- Interpersonal skills - ability to effectively liaise with Internal and External Project Teams, the Pre-Construction and Building Services Departments whilst reporting to the Project Lead/Senior Leadership Team/Directors as necessary
- An attention to detail whilst retaining a strategic overview, to meet demanding deadlines
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
