What You'll Do:

This role will need to ensure all statutory accounting requirements for IMG Arena are met and assist in providing appropriate technical accounting advice. To manage, develop and maintain best practice financial processes and assist with financial controls related activities.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Statutory

  • Responsible for local statutory financial statements audit/filing
  • Provision of support to EY for annual tax return
  • Perform appropriate balance sheet reconciliations as well as review the reconciliations performed by WNS
  • Responsible for accounting for embedded derivatives
  • Related party preparation/submission
  • Responsible for preparation of all financial performance obligations
  • Preparation of intercompany net down
  • Perform impairment analysis for Flightscope, Leap and all operating assets
  • Provide audit support for non-revenue items
  • US GAAP to UKGAAP TB bridge preparation
  • Onerous provision calculation
  • Perform net down of deferred and accrued income and analysis of accrued/deferred revenue
  • FIN 48 calculation/estimate/actual posting
  • Payroll processing and review
  • Month end close for corporate cost centre

Risk Management and Compliance

  • ORA and FRSA prep
  • Assist with Deloitte substantive audit requests

Assist the Financial Controller with:

Technical accounting

  • Assist in project reviews and accounting memos preparation
  • Assist in preparing technical accounting and implementing them into the business

Controls

  • Assist in reviewing and recommending appropriate controls on High-Risk Projects, PvA, Forecast, Rev Share
  • Assist in managing interim and year end controls testing and assist in documenting and maintaining control procedures and perform appropriate walkthroughs
  • Assist in remediating and control deficiencies through working with the business and assist in reviewing and making recommendations on key controls around balance sheets
  • Assist in preparation of SAB 108 reporting

Working Conditions:

Fixed Term Contract, London Chiswick Park

Working Days: Mon-Fri

Working Hours: 9am-5pm

You Have These:

Knowledge and Experience

Mandatory

  • Qualified (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) or equivalent
  • Confident and flexible team player
  • Experience of providing finance leadership within a commercial environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft packages specifically Excel
  • Ability to work alongside and understand the requirements of operational and commercial colleagues
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Drive to initiate and lead projects and see them through to a conclusion
  • A pro-active approach and the ability to work independently

Desirable

  • Media/Betting industry experience
  • SAP experience
  • Experience of working in a complex, multi-national organisation
