About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned accounting professional with recent experience in operational accounting, rather than in managerial roles. Our client is seeking a skilled accounting expert to ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations while driving process improvements. The ideal candidate will have substantial exposure to monthly closing processes. They will be organized and approach each issue with an analytical mindset.

Responsibilities

• Ensure business transactions are reported in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
• Work closely with team members to assist with the month-end close
• Ensure financial statements comply with Belgian GAAP and IFRS

Qualifications

• 10 years' of professional accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience
• Experience in implementing procedures & process improvements
• Proactive in organizing and setting priorities
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
• Enjoys working in a team and a strong communicator
• Fluent in Dutch & French (written and spoken)
• ASAP available

Specifications

• Location: Within walking distance from Brussels-North station
• Hybrid work: After onboarding, 2 days of teleworking per week
• Duration: mid to late April - Project until end of the year
