Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Application Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will provide advanced support for in-house software applications and escalate issues related to the Microsoft Office Suite when required. You will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, functionality, and performance of our applications, working closely with users, the development team, and third-level support as necessary.

- Advanced User Support:
- Provide expert assistance for custom-built software applications used by the client.
- Act as the escalation point for unresolved Microsoft Office Suite issues from first-level technical support.
- Incident and Problem Management:
- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex application-related issues reported by users.
- Collaborate with the development team or escalate to third-level support to ensure timely resolution of critical incidents.
- Application Testing and Validation:
- Perform basic application tests for changes or updates to ensure smooth functionality.
- Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) tests to validate application availability and performance.
- Documentation and Knowledge Management:
- Develop, update, and maintain user-facing documentation, such as user guides, FAQs, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Contribute to internal knowledge sharing by documenting support procedures and resolutions.
- Education:
- Diploma in the IT domain or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in application support or a related role.
- Proven expertise in supporting enterprise-level applications and troubleshooting complex issues.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of custom application environments and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite support, including advanced configurations and issue resolution.
- Familiarity with basic testing procedures and tools is a plus.
- Languages:
- Fluency in both French and English is required.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
