Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Application Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will provide advanced support for in-house software applications and escalate issues related to the Microsoft Office Suite when required. You will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, functionality, and performance of our applications, working closely with users, the development team, and third-level support as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advanced User Support:
    • Provide expert assistance for custom-built software applications used by the client.
    • Act as the escalation point for unresolved Microsoft Office Suite issues from first-level technical support.
  • Incident and Problem Management:
    • Investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex application-related issues reported by users.
    • Collaborate with the development team or escalate to third-level support to ensure timely resolution of critical incidents.
  • Application Testing and Validation:
    • Perform basic application tests for changes or updates to ensure smooth functionality.
    • Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) tests to validate application availability and performance.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Management:
    • Develop, update, and maintain user-facing documentation, such as user guides, FAQs, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
    • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing by documenting support procedures and resolutions.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Education:
    • Diploma in the IT domain or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in application support or a related role.
    • Proven expertise in supporting enterprise-level applications and troubleshooting complex issues.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of custom application environments and troubleshooting methodologies.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite support, including advanced configurations and issue resolution.
    • Familiarity with basic testing procedures and tools is a plus.
  • Languages:
    • Fluency in both French and English is required.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proactive attitude and capacity to work both independently and collaboratively.
