A leading Engineering & Design organisation are currently looking for a Senior Building Surveyor based in London or surrounding areas.

The Role:
  1. Diverse Projects: Engage in a range of projects, from feasibility studies to contract administration, ensuring no two days are the same.
  2. Professional Development: Mentor and train junior surveyors, providing Supervisor support on the RICS APC programme, and refine your leadership skills.
  3. Specialised Expertise: Apply your knowledge in fire risk assessments, passive compartmentation surveys, and fire strategy reports, enhancing your technical proficiency.
  4. Quality and Safety: Contribute to high standards of quality, safety, and environmental considerations in asset surveys, design, and project management.
  5. Career Progression: Support senior managers in their daily activities and manage junior staff, paving the way for future leadership roles.
  6. Business Development: Play a key role in the development of new business opportunities, including the preparation and submission of bids.
Requirements:
  1. Educational & Professional status: A B.Sc. (Hons) in Building Surveying or a similar RICS accredited degree. Chartered status is essential or highly desirable.
  2. Technical Expertise: Demonstrated technical surveying knowledge and significant building surveying experience.
  3. Client Management: Experience managing clients with a strong understanding of profitability, business development, and commercial awareness.
  4. Mentorship Skills: Proven experience in mentoring, training, and coaching team members.
  5. Project Management: Ability to manage workloads and projects efficiently.
  6. Documentation Skills: Proficiency in drafting technical documents, including clients' requirements, asset reviews, feasibility studies, specifications, and drawings.
  7. Compliance Knowledge: Full understanding of Health and Safety requirements and Statutory Compliance.
  8. Specialist Skills: Specific technical skillsets to meet specialist professional building surveying service requirements, such as dilapidations, party wall, fire risk, and access assessments.
