The Product team is responsible for creating and building a market-leading product portfolio, driving growth and profitable revenues, and adding sustainable value to the business.
The Network Product team executes key activities related to integration delivery for network partner implementations (onboarding, offboarding, or remediation). This is a Senior Business Analyst role with responsibility for defining the solution capabilities and services that we offer, supporting and completing key integration activities for complex and critical network partners, interpreting business requirements, and identifying improvements to our integration platform as well as supporting delivery teams.
This may include:
- Support with assessment of complex and critical network partners to validate capabilities align with Visa Payment Limited minimum standards.
- Completing and supporting key integration activities outlined in the implementation handbook.
- Defining user stories for integrations based on specific network partner considerations, creating, and leveraging templates to standardize user story sets as far as possible.
- Presenting complex and critical network feature demos to relevant Visa Payment Limited stakeholders during sprint demos.
- Leading best practice analysis of payment message specifications and payment data mapping across multiple payment schemes and financial institutions.
- Driving the standardization of business and integration analysis across multiple markets and countries.
- Participating in agile / scaled agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and daily stand-ups.
- Ensuring the product meets business needs - Collaborate with the scrum team during build to ensure the solution meets business needs.
- Producing key documents required for standardized integrations, including connectivity, field mapping, and new Network Product components where relevant.
- Attending calls with Network Partners, Operations, and other relevant Stakeholders within the integration chain to discuss and resolve any gaps or issues identified within the analysis to minimize deviations against minimum standards.
- Support product owners with backlog refinement by ensuring Network Product user stories are appropriately captured.
- Providing training and ongoing guidance and knowledge transfer to junior and less experienced Integration and Business Analysts to help grow the team's capabilities.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Basic Qualification
• 5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualification
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Senior Integration Analyst / Senior Business Analyst experience across multiple project types within the financial services / payments industry.
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of international payments, European payment standards, scheme rules, payment processing technologies and regulations.
• Previous experience in Business / Systems Analysis or Quality Assurance.
• Experience mentoring, managing, and supporting junior team members.
• History of working closely and effectively with diverse teams to elicit requirements from stakeholders.
• Demonstrable experience (2-5 Years) in the payments industry, specifically in cross-border payments, with a good understanding of My Standards, SWIFT (MT and MX) and ISO20022, message standards, ACH payments, global instant payments schemes, including UK FPS, SEPA Instant, Singapore FAST, etc.
• Proven experience working in an Agile methodology environment (e.g., SCRUM, DSDM, Lean/Kanban) and ideally scaled agile methodology.
• Best practice in writing user stories.
• Experience of dealing with high complexity projects and involving multiple stakeholders.
• Good technical understanding of web applications and APIs including swagger, xml, JSON, schemas, fixed width formats and other message formats/syntax.
• Knowledge of cross-border payment regulations including EU (European Union) Wire Transfer Regulations.
• Great intellectual agility and attention to detail.
• Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
• Experience with data mapping tools (ideally Trace Transformer or SWIFT Translator).
• General understanding of Java development and databases.
• Ability to work under pressure, both in terms of deliverable deadlines, but also in terms of communication with managers and resources under tricky situations and deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and teamwork skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, senior managers, and all Visa Payments Limited staff using a collaborative approach.
• Strong knowledge of MS-Office products for Windows including Word, Excel, Visio, and SharePoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills.
• Ability to define best practices for payments analysis.
