Hybrid role with 80% of time spent WFH

Up to £85,000 per annum with double OTE per year & additional benefits

The Company: Established in the early 1990's, our client is a software and professional services business that provides health, safety, and risk management solutions to a wide range of sectors. Their software is designed to help organisations comply with regulations, mitigate risks, and create safer workplaces. This newly created role will focus on selling the software alongside various services in an ambitious growth phase.

The Role: As Senior Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for working with a wide range of organisations from mid-market to enterprise across the UK. This is a hybrid role where deals are closed virtually and face to face, requiring occasional travel. You will generate your own leads with support from inbound leads via a newly created marketing function, selling risk, compliance, and safety management software solutions with a typical sales cycle of 3 - 4 months.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategic sales process, managing tenders and bids.
  • Face to face meetings as required, with an expectation to travel to the office once or twice a month in Greater London.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting and qualifying leads to negotiating contracts, typically 3-years in length.
  • Liaise with multiple stakeholders, ideally at C-Suite level within various sectors including Property & Real Estate, Retail, Logistics, and Hospitality.
  • This is a 100% new business role; accounts will be passed to Customer Success once onboarded.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a B2B sales role, managing the full cycle.
  • Experience in selling software, professional services, or consulting services is preferred.
  • Experience selling via tenders is ideal but not essential.
  • Client engagement face to face is essential.

Salary & Benefits Package:

  • Up to £85K per annum plus double OTE.
