Job Description
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve the company's sales goals and objectives.
- Market Analysis: Analyse market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
- Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and stakeholders.
- Sales Management: Oversee the sales plan, ensuring targets are met and provide excellent customer service.
- Proposal Development: Prepare and present proposals to clients that align with their business needs and objectives.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including operations and finance, to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Reporting: Prepare and present business development reports to senior management on a regular basis.
The Successful Applicant
- Experience: Experience in business development within contract logistics, with the ability to evidence strategic solutions selling over multi-year deals.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field.
- Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Leadership: Proven track record of developing and implementing successful business development strategies and achieving sales targets.
- Analytical Ability: Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
- Customer Focus: Strong commitment to providing exceptional service.
