We have an opportunity for a Senior Claims Adjuster to join our team on a hybrid basis.
As a Marine Claims Senior Adjuster, you will be responsible for handling a case load of lead and follow London Market Cargo claims as well as lead marine cargo claims placed as part of a global programme. With extensive knowledge and excellent technical claims handling skills you will work closely with senior claims leadership to ensure appropriate escalation, review and management of large and highly detailed/Cat losses on the Marine Cargo Portfolio.
This role involves the handling and specialist negotiation of large and highly detailed Marine Cargo Claims, working closely with the relevant markets, external providers, and clients to provide innovative solutions.
You will be required to have an existing high profile within the London market and work alongside the portfolio leader, London cargo underwriting team and fellow senior adjusters to build and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders with attendance at market events and client meetings where required.
Working with senior leadership, this role requires effective communication and relationship management techniques to ensure the wider team have the appropriate level of technical knowledge providing coaching and feedback to improve knowledge and performance of others.
This is a hybrid role in a flexible environment, but you will be required to attend the London office a minimum of 3 days per week and additionally as and when a business need arises.
You will have worked within a similar role and gained sufficient practical experience in the marketplace and ideally have a good profile within the London market.
Experience of and being accustomed to handling Marine Cargo Claims in a lead capacity from first advice to final settlement including full evaluation and management of coverage/liability. An ability to think laterally and translate thinking into pragmatic outcomes whilst balancing the conflicting pressures of negotiating large and highly detailed claims. This role requires you to have good communication, negotiation and organisational skills, as well as a passionate and focused desire for our customer.
