Senior Copywriter

Time for a job that doesn't make you want to disappear into the void.
World Host Group (WHG) is looking for a Senior Copywriter to help us build a brand from scratch, in a role where copy really, really matters.
You'll master the tone of voice for a disruptive new hosting brand. This is more than just writing-it's your chance to own and execute across a zillion touchpoints without getting watered down.
If you love big, bold brand-building, this is it. If you prefer a quiet job rewriting H1s for SEO or chucking out AI-generated nonsense, it's not.
We'll pay you up to £60k a year, and you'd be part of a hybrid, UK-based team. Our office is in the Cotswolds.
Why us?
We're a web hosting provider that's growing explosively across 40 remote locations. Here are some of the exciting bits:
- In 2019, we set out to build a scalable hosting business for a global market, building infrastructure & developing location and network-agnostic software with 24/7 global support.
- In a few short years, we grew from a team of 30 to 800+ across 11 offices.
- We serve 2M+ websites across 20+ data centres.
- Our brand portfolio is booming, and we're in the midst of a massive brand (re)launch, which you'll be directly involved in and responsible for.
We're basically a tech company without tech bro culture that's enjoying massive, global growth. That means a lot of work-but also a huge opportunity.
What you get
- A proper wage that respects your time and talent - up to £60k.
- Benefits package including pension.
- Generous paid leave - because this is a job, not a jail.
- Hybrid working - we're flexible but not 100% remote.
- A work laptop with all the bells & whistles (we're a Design team, so obviously it'll be a Mac).
We don't really do the whole ping-pong / free fruit / half-days on Fridays thing. It's a little dull. And you're worth a lot more.
Why you?
You get brand. You get creative. As Senior Copywriter, we need you to have:
- 5+ years in a senior copywriting role.
- Experience in writing marketing, digital, UX, campaign copy.
- Proven experience working within a defined brand voice (bring along writing samples or links of work you're proud of).
- Strong knowledge of SEO, conversion strategies, and web writing best practices.
- A level head and cool with quick turnarounds, and the obvious eye for detail.
- Hosting industry experience is a huge plus, although other SaaS experience is also beneficial.
- Experience leading campaigns and people.
What you'll be doing
- Writing a LOT. Like, a lot a lot. It's literally your job title.
- Working closely with the Head of Brand to shape the voice of a massive new hosting brand, and adapting its tone across different platforms.
- Owning the brand tone of voice and making sure it doesn't get watered down.
- Working at serious speed (the first six months will be pretty full-on).
Please, do not send me a cover letter or ask me to pop in time for a quick chat. Just say hi! I'll be much happier if you just email your favourite gif to me ().
