Your RoleEnglish qualified lawyer with around 10 years' PQE, and a good familiarity with outsourcing and/or technology contracts, gained either in-house or in private practice.
Responsibilities- Drafting and reviewing of complex contracts including outsourcing agreements, software agreements, reseller agreements, subcontracting agreements, and other relevant commercial instruments;
- Analysing legal issues and issues related to commercial risks, and presenting clear recommendations to the business teams and to the senior management; acting as an interface between the local offices and the global headquarters;
- Act as a key participant in negotiations with customers and vendors across the world;
- Reviewing proposals and requests for proposals (RFPs), including government agreements, assisting in preparing proposals and providing assistance in responding to RFPs etc;
- Ensuring conformance with internal contracting requirements and policies as well as risk mitigation requirements, managing and controlling the internal escalation and approval procedures;
- Project work from time to time as needed including updating templates, tracking trends, laws and regulations that are relevant to the Company's business and policies;
- Ability to handle client disputes and comfortable having conversation with the law firms.
- Prior experience in handling high value and complex, international transactions;
- Must enjoy negotiation of commercial contracts and providing legal advice;
- The tenacity to manage expectations within counter-parties and internal stakeholders while maintaining a good rapport;
- Excellent contract drafting/writing skills;
- Well organized, stress-resistant, and autonomous - able to work both independently as well as in multidisciplinary teams;
- Approachable & responsive;
- Open to travel to client meetings and negotiations at short notice;
