As the Data Governance & Privacy Operations Lead at Gousto, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring that the organization meets its Privacy obligations. You'll work within the Data Governance team, collaborating closely with Engineering, Digital Product, and Legal/DPO teams to embed privacy-by-design principles into Gousto's products and services.
Your role will be focused on the "how" of privacy compliance - translating legal requirements into actionable, operational processes that are continually monitored, optimized, and aligned with evolving business. You'll ensure privacy controls are effective, manage privacy incidents, and report on compliance to leadership.
This is a hands-on role that will see you driving continuous improvement across privacy processes while working with cross-functional teams to ensure privacy is a fundamental part of Gousto's operations. Core Responsibilities
- Implement and manage processes to ensure compliance with GDPR and other privacy regulations.
- Work with Engineering and Digital Product teams to embed privacy-by-design principles into product development.
- Monitor privacy controls, track risks, and ensure timely resolution of privacy-related actions.
- Align with DPO and Legal teams to stay ahead of regulatory changes and approve updates to Privacy Standard Operating Models.
- Act as the primary point of contact for privacy-related issues within the tech function.
- Support the resolution of privacy incidents and breaches, collaborating across teams to implement corrective actions.
- Provide assurance reports to senior leadership on privacy operations and compliance status.
- Maintain clear documentation and tracking of privacy-related actions.
- Drive ongoing enhancements to privacy processes, ensuring compliance with evolving regulations.
- Lead efforts to optimise privacy controls and workflows, improving efficiency and effectiveness across the business.
Who You Are
- Experienced in privacy operations - You have hands-on experience managing privacy incidents, risks, and operational processes to ensure compliance.
- Tech-savvy collaborator - You work well with Engineering and Digital Product teams, embedding privacy-by-design principles into tech solutions.
- Incident management pro - You have experience handling privacy incidents, implementing risk mitigation strategies, and ensuring timely resolution.
- Strong stakeholder manager - You communicate complex privacy concepts clearly and can influence cross-functional teams to drive compliance initiatives.
- Process optimiser - You have a track record of improving privacy processes to enhance efficiency and regulatory alignment.
- Data-driven & detail-oriented - You excel at tracking privacy actions, providing compliance reports, and ensuring transparency for senior leadership.
