Join over 2,700 employees worldwide who are growing their careers with purpose and connection with our customers while having a positive impact on millions of people around the globe.

About the Role:

As a Senior Data Scientist you will be part of Remitly's Global Analytics organisation and you will report to our manager of Data Science. The Data Science team supports forecasting, data models, and experimentation across several different partner teams, including Marketing, Pricing, Customer Success, and Product.

In this role, you will apply your expertise in forecasting, data modelling, measurement, and experimentation, with a primary focus on trend forecasting and marketing analytics (e.g., media mix modelling, geo testing). You will have the opportunity to shape the team's data science roadmap and tackle some of the most impactful challenges at Remitly. This is a hybrid role (2-3 days a week) based in our London office.

You Will:

  • Partner with machine learning engineers to productionise data models that you've prototyped.
  • Effectively communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders, influencing strategy and decision-making.

You Have:

  • 6+ years of experience solving complex problems using data
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python
  • Advanced knowledge of statistics and data modeling, with experience applying them in business contexts.
  • A degree in a quantitative field (Master's or PhD strongly preferred) such as Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Political Science, or Operations Research.
