Our mission is to enable every company to deliver apps in the cloud. We dedicate ourselves to building a cloud infrastructure layer that allows platform engineering teams to manage, monitor, and update with ease; at the same time, we offer developers the flexibility to deploy their apps in the cloud without a hassle. We are passionate about delivering value to our clients and are committed to ensuring their teams and initiatives succeed.

  • British Citizen or ILR
  • To have resided in the UK for at least the last 5 years
  • Have no criminal records

About you

You'll be passionate about new technology and automation, and experienced in leading an Engineering Team in Agile and DevOps best practices. You'll also be able to talk to us about your:

  • Knowledge of continuous integration and deployment practices.
  • Ability to collaborate with people of all levels of technical ability.

  • Fantastic people skills, including the ability to motivate a team towards a common goal.

Responsibilities

  • Leading agile ceremonies including stand-ups, backlog refinement, planning and retrospectives.
  • Ensuring the DevOps team is self-organising, engaged, motivated and part of the agile delivery process.
  • Engaging with technical architects, tech leads and peripheral delivery teams to facilitate solutions definitions for our clients.
  • Ensuring the detailed capture of technical work items on the product backlog and ensuring they are estimated with agreed acceptance criteria.
  • Working with internal and client leads to prioritise backlog and communicate the progress of these items as applicable.
  • Ensuring appropriate technical documentation is created and shared with the relevant people.
  • Fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing between the engineering team and client teams, such as scheduling and managing show & tells.
  • Engaging with project and GTM teams on the progress of deliverables and communicating cloud platform dependencies to our clients as necessary.
  • Producing and distributing regular updates on delivery, impediments and issues.

Why join Appvia?

We are a self-funded, London based startup; providing businesses with a fast and secure way to deploy containerised applications into the cloud.

We are on a mission to enable organisations to make cloud-based software delivery simple and efficient, whilst having the insights into costs, security and cadence. As a company that holds customers at the heart of everything we do, we are looking for candidates that want to make a real change to how Dev and Ops is working in the industry.

With us our customers, like the UK's Home Office & Bank of England, are harnessing cloud-native technologies, limiting the challenges of infrastructure management and rapidly delivering digital products.
