Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role:

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will primarily focus on Linity,our global-facing educational platform for the crypto space, while also providing critical infrastructure support for Veneos, a shared backend foundation for the organization. You'll take full ownership of the platform's cloud resources, employing best practices in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), container orchestration, CI/CD, and monitoring. Your expertise will be key in empoweringengineering teams to deliver faster and more reliably.

Veneos is a modular backend platform that serves as a common foundation across multiple ICEO projects. It provides essential services so ourdevelopers can focus on building unique business logic rather than re-inventing core functionalities. Veneos streamlines backend processes and ensures that critical features like logging, security, and scalability are baked into every project from the start.

What you will do:

  • Design, maintain, and evolve infrastructure by leading both high-level and low-level designs in GCP and GKE to ensure performance, security, availability, and reliability at every layer
  • Optimize cloud resources by monitoring and managing usage for cost efficiency without compromising performance
  • Implement monitoring and incident response by setting up comprehensive logging and alerting systems to minimize downtime
  • Streamline CI/CD by collaborating with development teams and offering ongoing support for software delivery
  • Plan backup and disaster recovery by devising robust failover and high-availability strategies
  • Document and share knowledge by creating clear records of all implemented solutions
  • Prototype and innovate by exploring emerging technologies and assessing new observability and automation tools for scalability, security, and performance improvements
  • Automate the development lifecycle by building and maintaining toolchains that speed and stabilize software releases
  • Balance security and flexibility to support safe yet efficient teamwork
  • Engage in cross-team collaboration to ensure seamless coordination of infrastructure goals, andmentor and train fellow engineers to foster continuous learning
  • Participate in agile routines like daily stand-ups and planning sessions to adapt effectively to evolving requirements

What we expect from you:

  • 5+ years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or similar role.
  • 7+ years of overall IT experience.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, GoLang, C++, or Java).
  • Solid experience with Terraform for IaC.
  • Hands-on skills with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, OpenTelemetry) and logging pipelines (Kibana, Elasticsearch).
  • Expertise in Docker and container orchestration using Kubernetes (preferably on GCP) and Helm.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD systems and version control (Bitbucket Pipelines, ArgoCD).
  • Solid understanding of Linux systems administration (Debian/Ubuntu).
  • Experience with Kafka, Redis, Nginx in a production environment.
  • Practical knowledge of designing and operating scalable, secure infrastructure (e.g., KEDA, HPA, affinity rules).
  • Experience deploying Node.js/Next.js applications at scale.
  • A keen interest in crypto/blockchain, DeFi, and decentralized technologies.
  • English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of Argo CD and Argo Rollouts
  • Experience with Apache HTTP Server, OpenVPN, or advanced networking (LAN/WAN, Firewall, Load Balancers)
  • PostgreSQL administration and optimization skills
  • Exposure to SSO and Okta for secure identity management
