Senior Director, Medical Strategy

Real Chemistry is looking for a Senior Director, Medical Strategy-Oncology to join our growing team!

Our Consultants have a deep understanding of the internal machinations of a pharmaceutical company gained from employment or from similar experience within that environment. They are medical and scientific experts who are able to translate this knowledge into cutting-edge strategies and ensure excellence in all deliverables across the Medical team. The current role is focused on Medical Strategy for our Oncology business, specifically for work in breast cancer.

What you'll do:

1. Therapy area and scientific expertise: Advise clients and across the global 'One Medical' team through deep insight and clinical connections related to your therapy area and scientific expertise.
2. Strategic thinking: Define strategy on new and complex business proposals in collaboration with senior team members.
3. Client relationships: Proactively act as trusted advisor for clients using pharma sector experience.
4. Provide constructive challenge to key senior clients to support strategic decision-making, acting as a soundboard, confidante, and medical business partner.
5. Provide strategic institutional advice to maximize the impact of the medical programmes that we deliver.
6. Artificial intelligence (AI): Identify opportunities for AI interventions and direct internal programmes related to AI implementation across the global One Medical team.
7. Business development: Drive business development activities aligned with Real Chemistry growth strategy and targets via identification of new clients and working with existing clients by leveraging expertise and networking.
8. Strategic leadership: Advance internal and industry best practices, develop and publish related thought leadership content that has a meaningful impact on Real Chemistry's brand and business development.
9. Execute leadership in all aspects of the strategy process, from research and analysis to insight and creative brief development.
10. Collaborate with other team members to analyse findings, develop insights and implications and create client presentations that deliver a linear, evidence-based stories.
11. Develop and execute strategic initiatives for projects in collaboration with internal teams and client partners.
12. Critical thinking: Understand industry dynamics from a Medical Affairs perspective and shape into Real Chemistry services and offerings.
13. Confidently take a lead facilitator role in client meetings/workshops.

What you should have:

1. Previous extensive experience from being within a pharmaceutical company and medical communications or strategic consultancy environment.
2. Proven record of building strong client relationships and growing business opportunities.
3. A profound understanding of healthcare, science, medicine, and the pharmaceutical industry is essential.
4. A high level of academic achievement is expected.
5. You'll need to be personable, articulate, and capable of nurturing relationships, with a knack for developing and delivering persuasive presentations.
