Job Description
Job Purpose:
Control, co-ordinate and supervise the issue and recording of all drawing and documents produced by designers, subcontractors and other third parties for our design and construct projects.
What you'll be doing:
- Control and monitor the approval procedure of drawings by the client and other third parties;
- Review all incoming documents and drawings for compliance with project contract requirements and collate comments on/from site staff for issue to the designers;
- Co-ordination of interfaces between subcontractors, suppliers and other third parties;
- Provide day to day liaison with the project designers and monitor their progress against programme and co-ordinate their progress with site activities;
- Provide a link between site engineering staff and designers;
- Review all design queries prior to issue to designers to ensure that the queries are answered efficiently;
- Monitor the progress of design queries;
- Attend and produce minutes for design coordination meetings with the client, subcontractors, suppliers and other third parties;
- With training, undertake planning and checking role for temporary works in accordance with company procedures;
- Be aware of business continuity processes via reporting manager;
- Oversee the DCs in the region;
- Create new projects on Asite ensuring contractual requirements are met with support from IM;
- Exceptional understanding of Asite (superuser) and all relevant modules;
- Create Field and oversee the DC & team on managing the tool;
- Hold weekly DC team meetings;
- Manage a project that allows time for all other duties;
- Support the IM in creating IMS for projects in Construction from when tender lands;
- Create and oversee project protocols based on the contract documents and internal ISO19650 standards (to be reviewed by IM);
- Train internal teams project specific;
- Ensure all internal staff have had the correct Asite training;
- Excellent understanding of O&Ms and ensuring compliance.
What we'll need from you:
- Construction site based experience with large construction based contractor;
- Previous experience in a role controlling documents is essential;
- Computer literate (basic knowledge of MS Windows Excel, Word and internet systems);
- Computer literate (basic knowledge of MS Access and Extranet systems);
- Good level of inter-personal skills;
- Ability to co-ordinate/interface between design and construction teams;
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
