Senior Drainage Engineer

Our key client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Drainage Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This role is integral in supporting highways, development, and water management across a variety of clients in Universal Services.

Extensive experience in the drainage design and water development

Key Responsibilities:

• Designing highway drainage systems in accordance with DMRB for ETE project work
• Conducting and reviewing designs for LLFA/S278/S38/S106 projects
• Developing foul and surface water drainage solutions in line with Building Regulations and Sewers for Adoption standards
• Specialist design of small packaged sewage treatment plants, drainage fields, mounds, and outfalls
• Engaging in flood modelling, specifically pluvial and fluvial
• Preparing technical documentation and writing contracts in SHW (Highways England) and/or NBS formats
• Utilising AutoCAD, Civils 3D, or Causeway Live/PDS for design work
• Applying highway design principles using Manual for Streets and DMRB

Job Requirements:

• Proficiency in highway drainage design to DMRB standards
• Experience with LLFA/S278/S38/S106 design and checks
• Strong understanding of foul and surface water drainage design
• Desirable skills in designing small sewage treatment plants and drainage fields
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civils 3D, or Causeway Live/PDS
• Experience in writing contracts in SHW or NBS formats
• Desirable highway design skills in use of Manual for Streets/DMRB
