Our client is a UK-based environmental consultancy providing expert advice and assessments across a wide range of environmental disciplines, including climate change, biodiversity, landscape design, water management, and environmental policy. The Warrington office is home to a friendly and collaborative team of around 25 professionals, including a growing ecology team. Across the UK, the company employs 10 ecologists, with plans for expansion, making this an exciting time to join their dynamic and supportive environment.
About the RoleAs a Senior Ecological Consultant, you will have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in the company's expanding ecology team. You will work on diverse projects across the UK, supporting clients in achieving their ecological and environmental goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver ecological surveys and assessments.
- Prepare high-quality technical reports, including Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (PEA) and Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIA).
- Provide expert advice on biodiversity enhancements and mitigation measures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated environmental solutions.
- Mentor and support junior team members, contributing to their professional growth.
- Engage with clients and stakeholders, maintaining strong professional relationships.

About YouWe are looking for a passionate and experienced ecologist who thrives in a collaborative environment.
Key Requirements:
- At least 3-4 years of experience in ecological consultancy.
- Strong knowledge of UK biodiversity legislation and best practices.
- Proficiency in conducting and leading ecological surveys.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical report writing and client engagement.
- A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
