Your new role
As a Senior Electrical Estimator, you will be part of an established team providing a full range of electrical services for projects valued between £100k and £8m. You will lead a small estimating team, including a junior and intermediate estimator.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tendering electrical projects ranging from £100k to £8m
- Analysing project specifications, drawings, and related documents to determine the scope of work and necessary materials
- Conducting thorough analysis of project requirements to identify potential cost-saving opportunities
- Collaborating with project managers and the pre-construction team to gather relevant information for accurate estimates
- Reviewing and assessing bids and quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing
- Maintaining and updating a database of cost estimates and historical project data
- Assisting in the preparation of bids and proposals for new projects
- Electrical background, ideally a Qualified Electrician or higher-level qualification in Electrical Engineering with at least 5 years of electrical estimating experience
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers to secure competitive prices
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- High competency in using MS Office packages
- Strong verbal, written, and numerical skills
- Ability to multi-task and maintain composure in a demanding environment
