Senior Finance Business Partner - Onsite in Bury (BL9 7HY)

Crown Oil, a respected and well-established distribution company, is excited to announce an opening for a Senior Finance Business Partner to join our expanding team. This is a unique opportunity to utilise your financial expertise in a newly created role, directly supporting our strategic and governance interests while reporting to the Board.

Role Overview:

As a Senior Finance Business Partner, you will assist the Sales Director with strategic decision-making, collaborate with the Finance Director on HMRC fuel duty-related matters and import regulations, and manage a small team within our purchasing and logistics department. Your experience in a sales-focused environment will be essential to your success in this position.

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated history of driving process improvements, as you will oversee a newly developed in-house IT solution related to your responsibilities.

Apply Now Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Sales and Finance Directors as required.
  • Collaborate with various departments to facilitate strategic and operational benefits.
  • Manage a small team and provide upskilling as appropriate.
  • Review and submit monthly/quarterly returns to HMRC for imports, duty, and related taxes/allowances.
  • Perform reconciliation, analysis, and interpretation of large data sets.
  • Work closely with the IT manager to enhance existing systems and processes.
Requirements:
  • ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified or qualified by relevant experience (QBE).
  • Proven experience as a Management Accountant or Internal Auditor.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on financial improvement and operational efficiencies.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex formulas.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • High level of commercial acumen.
  • Ability to excel in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Experience managing a small team.
  • Capability to conduct independent research for new opportunities and challenges.
  • Strong skills in analysing both financial and written data to derive meaningful insights.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to present information effectively to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
