A fabulous new opportunity has become available for an experienced, enthusiastic, and driven Senior Financial Analyst to join our Insurance team in a full-time permanent role.

The role of the Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for providing specialist financial advice and commercial analysis to the Insurance business unit. This role plays a key part in distilling complex financial concepts into concise analysis that enables informed decision-making. You will drive continuous improvement of processes, reporting, and analysis while providing financial support for the Insurance Business.

You will also collaborate with key business stakeholders to support financial planning, analysis, and operational efficiency. Additionally, you will be responsible for:

  • Driving cost and efficiency improvements through regular analysis and monitoring of operations.
  • Identifying trends in claims performance and providing in-depth analysis of key result drivers.
  • Conducting supplier analysis and assisting with agreements and reporting.
  • Developing and maintaining a benefits register across the Insurance business.
  • Performing Insurance benchmarking and developing internal KPIs and reporting measures for the business and Finance department.
  • Providing support and financial consultancy to Insurance business stakeholders.
  • Assisting with the preparation of Annual Business Plans and Budgets.

At RAA, we hire on cultural add first and technical fit second! However, to be successful in the role you will need to have:

  • A Commerce and/or Accounting Degree.
  • CA/CPA qualification.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, Insurance or similar industry preferred but not essential.
  • High-level proficiency in Excel and financial modelling.
  • Excellent analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong ability to build effective working relationships within teams and with stakeholders.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good planning and time management skills.
  • Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and regulatory compliance.
