Hybrid, 2 days a week in the office
Salary: £50,000-£62,000 + bonus and excellent benefits
We are looking for a Senior Front End Software Engineer to design, develop, and optimise high-performance B2C websites and shopping apps that enhance customer experience and business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain scalable, secure, and responsive web pages using HTML5, CSS, jQuery, and Microsoft ASP.
- Build and optimise cross-platform shopping apps using Apache Cordova and Ionic.
- Enhance Front End performance, ensuring fast load times, smooth interactions, and accessibility compliance.
- Work closely with UX designers, Back End developers, and digital teams to integrate Front End solutions with marketing data layers for advanced analytics and A/B testing.
- Collaborate with DevOps engineers to integrate CI/CD pipelines and monitor Front End performance using New Relic.
- Stay up to date with emerging Front End technologies and E-commerce trends.
What We're Looking For:
- Extensive experience in software development, including in a Front End role.
- Proven experience in developing and maintaining high-traffic E-commerce websites.
- Expertise in HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, AngularJS, jQuery, and integration with Microsoft ASP/.NET.
- Experience in performance optimisation (lazy loading, code splitting, caching) and familiarity with web performance metrics (FCP, LCP, CLS).
- Strong understanding of Front End security best practices (CSRF, XSS, CORS).
- Familiarity with Adobe Launch, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, and mobile frameworks (Apache Cordova, Ionic).
Desirable:
- Experience with SEO, digital advertising (Google Marketing Platform), and social media marketing
- Knowledge of digital merchandising
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins, Selenium).
